Quality Control

In order to achieve its mission, the Firm is committed to providing high quality services tailored to fit its clients' needs while making the most cost–efficient use of professional and support staff time and resources. Each assignment is given to an acting lawyer and a reviewing lawyer. The reviewing lawyer is often the Client Manager or a specialist in the subject matter. The reviewing attorneys are usually partners or of counsel to the Firm. In the Litigation and Arbitration Department, a Deliberation Committee meets every week to brainstorm and discuss complex procedural issues that arise in the cases handled by the Firm. A similar deliberation meeting is convened by the Corporate/Commercial Department to review contracts, opinions and transactions.

Client Manager
A Partner or a Senior Associate in the most appropriate practice group is assigned to each of the Firm's clients. As 'Client Manager', this partner or associate is charged with ensuring that all the work of this client is properly handled, promptly addressed and well coordinated.

Specialization
The distribution of work is based primarily on specialization. Any new assignment is channeled by the In-Mail Committee to the specialized group in the practice area concerned. Moreover, within each group, sub-groups and specializations are also developed. Specialization is a key element and a fundamental condition precedent to quality service by the Firm, and is reflecting an efficient usage of the Firm's size which is quite big by Egyptian standards.

Confidentiality
The protection of privileged client information is of paramount importance to the Firm. Each of the Firm's lawyers and para-legal staff is obliged to maintain confidentiality and prevent the disclosure of all confidential client information. In addition, other staff members are not permitted to access client files or information, unless otherwise instructed by an attorney. Original documents are maintained in special safes and are entered into special records.

Review
All legal opinions are reviewed by at least one partner or senior associate (Client Manager) who is familiar with the areas of law covered by the opinion, before dispatch. A special procedure is applicable in some cases where a second partner, experienced in the subject matter of the opinion, is required to perform a full review of the opinion and all underlying support documentation.

Follow- up and Client Reports
One of the first systems established by the Firm was the follow up system. Clients are informed through regular reports of the status of their outstanding matters handled by the Firm.
